More than 95,000 people call Frisco home. As one of the fastest growing cities in the country, people are drawn to this community because of an emphasis on family and quality of life.
The Fire Department has achieved the highest rating awarded by the Insurance Services Office and is home to Frisco Fire Safety Town – the first of its kind in the country. Frisco has one of the lowest crime rates in Collin and Denton Counties, thanks to our watchful citizens and an excellent Police Department. Its Parks and Recreation Department was named ‘best in the state’ by the Texas Parks and Recreation Society in 2006.
Frisco's blue print of sorts for growth was named ‘best in the state’ in 2000 and again in 2006. City engineers are paving a path for our city’s growth by working on dozens of capital projects including road construction and improvements. Frisco is very proud to be part of the Frisco, Lewisville, and Prosper Independent School Districts, which are dedicated to providing exceptional education and learning environments.
Frisco has a reputation for making things happen with a “can do” attitude, creativity, unique public/private partnerships and lots of teamwork! Frisco is home to the Frisco Roughriders, a AA affiliate of the Texas Rangers; the 3-Peat National Champion Texas Tornado, a junior league hockey team; the Dallas Stars headquarters and training facility; Major League Soccer’s FC Dallas and most recently, the Frisco Thunder, a professional indoor arena football team. These teams are complimented by state of the art venues, namely the Dr Pepper Ballpark, the Dr Pepper StarCenter and Pizza Hut Park. Within a short distance of all these venues is the Frisco Conference Center. Adjacent to the Embassy Suites Hotel, the Frisco Conference Center, is already home to numerous regional and national conferences.
